“Girl, 13, and Man, 48, Arrested After Caravan Park Collision”

A 13-year-old girl and a 48-year-old man have been apprehended following a serious vehicle collision at a caravan park in Shropshire. The crash resulted in injuries to an 81-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman at the Mile Bank Farm park.

According to West Mercia Police, a car struck multiple fences and gates before colliding with the awning of a caravan, causing harm to the man and woman at the holiday destination in Whitchurch. The incident occurred around 10:45 am on Saturday, with the 81-year-old man currently in critical condition in the hospital.

Authorities have disclosed that the 13-year-old girl and the 48-year-old man were taken into custody on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving. They have since been released on bail as investigations progress.

Investigators are urging any individuals who were present at the caravan park during the incident to come forward as witnesses. PC Mark Hobden, from the serious collision investigation unit, emphasized the importance of gathering information from anyone who may have observed the collision or the involved vehicle beforehand.

“Even the smallest detail could assist us in piecing together the events leading up to the incident.”
