A self-proclaimed expert in Brazilian butt lifts is facing legal action for defying a court order by conducting a series of failed procedures. Ricky Sawyer, renowned for his work on celebrities like Katie Price, performed risky non-surgical buttock enlargements using dermal fillers, resulting in severe injuries for many women. Following numerous complaints, he was prohibited from performing any cosmetic treatments in England and Wales until May 2028.
Trafford Council has initiated further legal proceedings against Sawyer for allegedly allowing another individual, Ahmed Mohamed Ali Nabih Elsharkawi, to carry out procedures at a London location in violation of the injunction. Despite purportedly selling his business to a Miss Silverman, Sawyer is accused of maintaining control through associated companies and continuing to operate under different business names, defying prohibition notices from various councils.
Evidence presented in court revealed Sawyer’s involvement in directing procedures, despite not personally performing them, and his close association with multiple related companies. Despite public scrutiny, no individuals have come forward to report undergoing cosmetic treatments since the injunction was imposed. Sawyer’s unauthorized activities extended to pop-up clinics in various locations, disregarding the restrictions set by authorities.
The injunction prohibits Sawyer from engaging in any cosmetic procedures or managing locations for such practices. It also restricts his possession of surgical equipment and antibiotics, except for personal use, with a provision for police intervention in case of breach. Investigations by ITV News and the BBC uncovered Sawyer’s high-risk practices in unregulated settings, leading to severe injuries resembling those from criminal acts.
Testimonies from clients highlighted the devastating consequences of Sawyer’s procedures, including life-threatening conditions like sepsis and severe infections. Despite the graphic injuries and trauma reported by multiple women, Sawyer persisted in his unauthorized cosmetic operations, endangering the health and well-being of unsuspecting clients.
