A high-priced luxury vehicle valued at nearly £200,000 was maliciously damaged by an unidentified individual at a golf club parking lot. The Aston Martin’s windows were shattered, and the word ‘CHEATER’ was spray-painted on the hood. The incident occurred at Hampton Court Palace Golf Club in South West London, where a man wearing a baseball cap was seen wrecking the 2015 Vanquish.
The specifics of the assault are still under investigation by the Metropolitan Police, with indications pointing towards a cheating scandal. A witness captured video footage showing the culprit causing extensive destruction to the car, including breaking windows, lights, and tearing open the roof. The vehicle, a rear-wheel drive model with the customized number plate ‘BD55 BOB,’ had ‘CHEATER’ painted across the bonnet.
The upscale car, priced at up to £192,000 when new, boasts a top speed of 201 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 52 mph in just 3.6 seconds. However, following the incident, the car was deemed a total loss.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed their ongoing investigation into the matter, speaking with witnesses and the car owner, who was present with his dogs at the time of the incident. Authorities stated, “Police were alerted around 14:00hrs on Monday, 25 May regarding criminal damage to a vehicle at a sports club in Dillon Close, Molesey. Despite searching the area, the suspect remains at large, with no arrests made as inquiries persist.”
