An easyJet flight bound for Glasgow had to make an unexpected landing in Liverpool. Flight EJU7357 departed from Palma de Mallorca Airport around 6:40 pm on Sunday, May 31, with Glasgow Airport as its intended destination.

The Airbus A319 was supposed to land in Scotland at approximately 8:45 pm but was diverted to Liverpool John Lennon Airport. easyJet extended apologies to affected passengers for the diversion, citing the incident as “beyond our control,” as reported by the Daily Record.

In an online communication to passengers, easyJet expressed regret, stating, “We regret that your flight will be redirected to Liverpool. We apologize for the inconvenience and aim to resume your journey to Glasgow promptly.”

“The disruption to your flight is beyond our control and is deemed an exceptional circumstance. We intend to refuel and resume your flight promptly. Your crew will provide updates,” the message continued.

Earlier this week, an easyJet flight U251 from the Isle of Man to Liverpool was compelled to declare a mid-air emergency and divert to Manchester Airport after an aborted landing attempt. The flight safely landed at Manchester at 4:05 pm on May 24.
