Newly leaked files have exposed that Vladimir Putin has enlisted British nannies to care for his children, contradicting his public criticism of individuals adopting Western lifestyles as “traitors.”
The documents reveal significant annual expenditures on private tutors for two boys believed to be Putin’s offspring with Olympic gymnast Alina Kabaeva between 2017 and early 2026.
Despite escalating anti-NATO rhetoric during this period, Putin has continued to invest in caregivers from “enemy” nations to cultivate a Western-influenced lifestyle for Vladimir Jr, approximately seven years old, and 11-year-old Ivan.
A recent investigation by Radio Svoboda disclosed that the boys are undergoing private homeschooling with a focus on European languages, primarily English and German. They are supervised by a team of about 20 tutors from overseas, including the UK, Germany, and Austria, leading an isolated existence.
Residing in a lavish mansion reportedly equipped with an anti-missile defense system, the children do not attend traditional schools or socialize with peers their age. This contradicts Putin’s previous criticism of individuals embracing Western European culture as “national traitors” following the Ukraine conflict.
Due to Putin’s increasing germophobia, the children’s possessions undergo strict disinfection protocols, and detailed records are maintained on their daily routines and meals.
Household staff and tutors are generously compensated at $8,000 (£6,000) per month to reside on the premises but are restricted in their teaching subjects, with a complete prohibition on LGBT issues and sex education. Notably, the boys are only permitted to portray male characters during role-playing activities.
Despite the financial incentives, some insiders have expressed dissatisfaction with their experiences, likening themselves to “robots isolated from the world” while following orders. An English teacher, identified in documents as “Harry A,” requested a two-month unpaid leave in 2023 due to quarantine-induced burnout.
Furthermore, a 58-year-old British-Irish tutor named Jane M was prohibited from frequenting public spaces during her free time. The Kremlin has never officially acknowledged Putin’s relationship with Alina Kabaeva or publicly recognized their alleged children.
