“Lufthansa Dreamliner Nose Dive Injures Staff at Frankfurt”

A Lufthansa Boeing Dreamliner bound for Los Angeles experienced a sudden nose dive onto the runway at Frankfurt Airport, resulting in injuries to several Lufthansa employees. The incident occurred while the aircraft was parked at a gate in Germany’s largest airport around 12:45pm CEST (11:45am BST) today, as confirmed by the airline to the dpa news agency.

According to a Lufthansa spokesperson, the nose landing gear of the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner unexpectedly collapsed while the plane was stationary. Crew and ground staff were present during the incident, but passengers had not yet boarded. The injured employees are currently receiving medical treatment.

Video footage captured the moment when the Dreamliner abruptly dropped to the ground, with visible damage. The aircraft, registered as D-ABPQ, is only one year old and operated by Lufthansa, prompting an ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident.

As a result of the mishap, Flight LH450 from Frankfurt to Los Angeles, scheduled to depart at 13:50pm CEST (12:50pm BST) today, has been canceled. Authorities are looking into the matter, with technicians and support staff already on the scene for further assessment.
