“Vodafone Outage: Customers Restricted to Emergency Calls”

Date:

Vodafone customers in various parts of Australia are facing a situation where their mobile phones are only able to make emergency calls. The issue was first reported by more than 2,800 users on Downdetector, a real-time outage tracking platform, around 9 am local time on Thursday, June 18.

The telecommunication company is currently investigating a widespread outage affecting its services nationwide. Users have experienced their phones switching to emergency call mode, commonly known as SOS mode, all over the country.

Vodafone has acknowledged the problem and assured customers that they are actively working to fix the issue promptly. They have recommended affected users to restart their devices to potentially resolve the connectivity problem.

During the outage, even Vodafone’s own online status checker experienced difficulties, further complicating the situation for users. Error messages were received by customers attempting to use the network provider’s online services.

This is an ongoing incident, and Vodafone promises to provide updates as the situation progresses.
