“P&O Cruises: Essential Item for Passengers Revealed”

Date:

P&O Cruises has recommended passengers to always carry a crucial item with them to prevent any potential delays or issues while traveling.

According to P&O Cruises’ FAQ, guests are not required to bring cash on board, but they are advised to have their cruise card on them at all times as it serves multiple purposes beyond just making payments.

The cruise line emphasizes that all onboard transactions are conducted in Great British pounds and operates on a cashless system. It assures that all purchases made aboard the ships are done using the cruise card, eliminating the need for cash during the vacation.

Your cruise card, which is your key to accommodation, identification for embarking and disembarking, and payment method for all onboard expenses, will be provided outside your cabin. The cruise line mentions that onboard spending money will be loaded onto the cruise card upon embarkation, and any additional purchases can be settled at Reception upon departure.

Onboard spending money can be utilized for various amenities and services, making it a convenient way to enjoy the cruise experience without the hassle of carrying physical cash.

P and O, in P&O Cruises, stands for “Peninsular and Oriental,” originating from the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company, which dates back to 1840.

It is important to note that the cruise card cannot be used for certain transactions. Your final bill will be delivered to your cabin mailbox on the last day of the cruise, and the outstanding balance will be deducted from the payment card you registered during check-in.

P&O Cruises emphasizes that tipping is not necessary, ensuring that excellent service and memorable moments are integral parts of the holiday experience.

The fleet’s largest ships, Arvia and Iona, boast impressive dimensions, with 344-meter lengths, 15 guest decks, and capacities of up to 5,200 guests and 1,800 crew members. In contrast, the smallest ship, Aurora, is 270 meters long, features nine decks, and accommodates around 1,874 guests and 850 crew members.
