A British tourist was taken into custody following an incident where he allegedly attempted to kiss a flight attendant on the neck while traveling to Spain. Law enforcement intervened upon the Ryanair flight’s arrival in Mallorca from London Stansted, detaining the individual after the cabin crew member expressed intent to press charges.
The 30-year-old individual was reportedly inebriated and causing disturbances on the aircraft. The pilot alerted authorities at Palma Airport before landing, seeking their assistance regarding the alleged misconduct.
Initially hesitant to file a formal complaint, the flight attendant later agreed to provide a statement to the police. The tourist, who had been identified but evaded immediate arrest due to the attendant’s initial reluctance to press charges, had already exited the plane and cleared passport control.
Subsequently, he was apprehended the following day while trying to board his return flight and was brought before the court. After appearing in front of a judge, he was released on bail pending further investigation into the incident that occurred on June 29.
The British individual, whose identity remains undisclosed, was observed entering the court premises in handcuffs, accompanied by two Civil Guard officers. It is uncertain whether he remains in Mallorca or has been permitted to depart the island and secure an alternate flight back home.
Efforts to obtain comments from Ryanair and the Spanish Civil Guard by The Mirror are ongoing.
