“Liz Truss Criticizes Conservative ‘DEI’ Capture”

Date:

Liz Truss criticized her own party, accusing it of being “ideologically captured” by “DEI” and labeling business individuals who shied away from politics as “cowards.”

Her remarks were made during a passionate speech at CPAC GB, a UK version of the major American pro-Trump event she is hosting in London. Truss expressed frustration over the frequent turnover of British Prime Ministers, citing the instability caused by seven Prime Ministers in the past decade.

She highlighted that five of the seven Prime Ministers were from the Conservative Party, with her own tenure being the shortest. Truss suggested that the Conservative Party had lost its conservative roots due to being influenced by DEI, without specifying the exact period she was referring to.

Truss advocated for the establishment of “parallel institutions” and “parallel media” to counter what she perceived as a left-wing bias within the British civil service. She urged successful individuals, particularly those in finance or bitcoin, to enter politics and take charge of key institutions like immigration, foreign affairs, and local law enforcement.

Expressing disappointment in the lack of a robust right-wing movement, Truss called on affluent Britons to step up and engage in shaping the country’s future instead of shying away from politics. She emphasized the need for courageous individuals to lead the way and criticized those who prioritize personal success over national interests.

Teasing that she would reveal names in the future, Truss acknowledged the risks associated with entering politics but remained resolute. Despite her strong stance, the attendance at her CPAC GB event was reportedly low, with only a fraction of seats filled.

The event stirred controversy within the Conservative Party as members debated whether it was appropriate for MPs to share platforms with Reform allies. Truss predicted the downfall of Labour leader Andy Burnham and warned of impending financial crises and societal decay under progressive governance.

She also voiced concerns about the restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic, criticizing the level of compliance and citizen surveillance witnessed during the crisis. Truss called for a more active and responsible approach from the public and authorities to address pressing challenges facing the nation.
