“Homicide Probe Launched in Bolton After Man Found Dead”

Police in Bolton have initiated a homicide investigation following the discovery of a deceased man at a residence. Responding to a call on June 30, officers arrived at a property on Gray Street where they encountered a 50-year-old male with severe injuries to his head and chest. Unfortunately, the man was declared dead at the scene.

Subsequently, law enforcement officials commenced an inquiry into the incident after receiving “new information,” as stated by a spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police. Following a post-mortem examination, authorities confirmed the launch of a murder probe. A 15-year-old adolescent has been placed under the Mental Health Act and will undergo questioning in the near future.

The Greater Manchester Police have reassured the public that they view this as an isolated occurrence and do not perceive any broader threat to the local community. Detective Chief Inspector Louise Edwards of GMP’s Major Incident Team expressed condolences to the victim’s family and friends, emphasizing ongoing efforts to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The community’s cooperation and understanding during the investigation around Gray Street have been appreciated by the authorities. They have emphasized that there is no indication of a wider public safety risk, and no additional suspects are being sought in connection with the case.
