María Camila Potosí, who was eight months pregnant, was last seen riding pillion on a motorcycle in Polvorines, a suburb of Cali in Colombia. She went missing on July 16, and after an extensive search effort by both her family and authorities, her body was found near the River Meléndez.
The victim had been fatally stabbed and her baby was missing, having been taken from her womb. The baby, expected to be named Alahia and due in August, was the center of a planned baby shower just days before the tragedy unfolded, according to local reports.
