Two individuals have been taken into custody on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a deceased woman at a hotel in Liverpool. The incident occurred at The White Star Line Hotel in central Liverpool, where emergency services were alerted by the North West Ambulance Service in the early hours of Saturday.
Upon arrival, paramedics responded to a call regarding a 40-year-old woman who had fallen ill. Tragically, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and her family has been notified. Authorities have classified the death as unexplained, pending the results of a post-mortem examination and toxicology analysis.
A 47-year-old man from Kirkby and a 34-year-old woman from Liverpool have been apprehended on suspicion of murder, while a 31-year-old man from Liverpool has been detained on suspicion of aiding an offender. All three individuals have been released on bail under certain conditions as investigations continue.
Yesterday evening, two police forensic vehicles were observed outside The White Star Line Hotel as part of the ongoing inquiry.
