A man has been taken into custody following the tragic death of a 19-year-old student at the University of Lancashire’s accommodation in Preston. The student, Carla Georgescu, was found deceased, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding her passing. Ms. Georgescu, a second-year clinical psychology student, was discovered at the scene on Victoria Street.
The authorities have arrested a 34-year-old man from Hartlepool, known to the victim, on suspicion of murder.
