Pleasure Beach Resort has since confirmed the temporary closure of the ride for investigation purposes, specifying that the carriages stopped rather than detaching from the track.
A spokesperson from Pleasure Beach Resort informed LancsLive that the incident occurred at a low point in the ride and a manual deboarding process was executed with the assistance of trained operators. All riders were examined by first aid personnel, with no injuries reported. An internal investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the incident.
