Bill Clinton Denies Epstein Connection Before Congress

Date:

Bill Clinton recently spoke before Congress regarding his connections to Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased sex offender. The former US president adamantly refuted any awareness of Epstein’s criminal activities, stating, “I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong.” Clinton emphasized that he would have reported Epstein himself if he had suspected any wrongdoing.

Clinton asserted in his opening statement that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s crimes, underscoring his personal observations and actions. Despite appearing in released files that featured him in various settings with redacted faces of women, Clinton has not faced any allegations of misconduct in relation to Epstein.

Addressing the committee, Clinton discussed his past experiences with Epstein, noting that their association had ended years before Epstein’s crimes were exposed. He expressed remorse for his prior interactions with Epstein and clarified that he ceased contact well before Epstein’s guilty plea in 2008.

Clinton acknowledged flying on Epstein’s plane during the early 2000s but maintained that he never witnessed any concerning behavior. He emphasized that Epstein’s deceptive nature had shielded his illicit activities for a prolonged period.

Regarding his wife, Hillary Clinton, who was dragged into the discussion, Bill defended her, stating that she had no involvement with Epstein and had no recollection of encountering him. Clinton distanced Hillary from the situation, emphasizing that including her in the scrutiny was unjust.

In conclusion, Clinton emphasized his commitment to transparency and cooperation with authorities to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
