“British Minister Al Carns Warns of World War III at UK’s Doorstep”

Date:

British Armed Forces Minister Al Carns hinted at the possibility of World War III being underway, suggesting that the conflict is approaching the UK’s borders. Carns, a war veteran, made these remarks during a briefing commemorating the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

When asked about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s assertion that Russian President Vladimir Putin has initiated a global war, Carns drew parallels to historical events, stating that Ukraine is at the forefront of European defense. He praised Ukraine for its steadfast defense efforts, calling it the frontline of European defense.

Regarding the perceived Russian naval and air threat to Britain, Carns emphasized that the UK does have a frontline, situated in the North Atlantic, the high North, cyberspace, and influence battlegrounds. He highlighted the ongoing battle in these areas, emphasizing that the conflict has been ongoing since 2014.

Recent reports indicate that Russia has faced significant battlefield losses in the past three months, exceeding recruitment numbers. Russian forces have suffered casualties daily, with over 1,000 troops lost in a single day, leading them to seek reinforcement from allies.

Notably, Vladimir Putin reportedly convinced North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un to deploy 14,000 troops to support the war effort in Ukraine, resulting in casualties among the North Korean forces. Concerns have arisen that forced conscription may be implemented in Russia, potentially alienating war supporters.

Furthermore, there are fears that Russian society is grappling with increased crime rates due to the psychological impact on veterans returning from the war zone. Economic challenges and unemployment further compound the difficulties faced by returning soldiers.

As the war enters its fourth year, the toll on Russian troops has surpassed 1.24 million casualties, a figure that has shocked military analysts. Carns highlighted the immense cost of the conflict to Russia, surpassing the casualties suffered by the US in World War II.

In a surprising development, North Korean troops have been deployed to Eastern Europe, fighting alongside Russian forces in Ukraine. The involvement of North Korean troops in this conflict has raised eyebrows, with significant casualties reported among them.
