Attendees pay between $549 (£410) and $649 (£483) for general admission tickets to Coachella. Despite the substantial ticket prices, some participants are criticizing the steep costs of food at the event.
One festival-goer, known as @girlbosstown on TikTok, shared her experience of paying $23 (£17) for noodles and $28 (£21) for carne asada fries. While she mentioned the food quality was good and portion sizes were reasonable, others expressed discontent in the comments section.
Another individual commented that they have no interest in attending such events, highlighting the expensive nature of the festival. Influencer ‘Jacks Dining Room’ also disclosed his food experiences at Coachella, detailing lavish items like tacos for $20 and a caviar-covered burger and fries costing $150 (£112).
Various food vendors at Coachella offered a range of options, including poke bowls from Sweetfin priced at $23 and chicken dishes from Dave’s Hot Chicken at $30 (£22) for a sandwich with fries. Even basic items like plain fries were priced at $12 (£9).
Reports indicated that pizza slices were sold at a high cost, with one attendee spending $41 (£31) on two slices and a can of Coke, describing the taste as disappointing. Despite some bringing their own food, a group still ended up spending $50 (£37) on just three coffees.
For those planning to attend Coachella, it seems prudent to start saving up early!
