In a newly released video by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), Vickram Digwa, the convicted murderer of Henry Nowak, can be seen instructing his mother, Kiran Kaur, in Punjabi to take the knife used in the fatal stabbing. The footage, captured on Digwa’s phone and aimed at the ground, shows him handing over the weapon to his mother.
Kaur, who was recently sentenced to three years in prison for aiding an offender, was found guilty of taking the murder weapon back to their home on the night of the crime, December 3, 2025. During sentencing, Judge William Mousley KC emphasized that a responsible parent would have intervened and encouraged their child to do the right thing instead of assisting in concealing a crime.
The judge highlighted that Kaur’s actions of hiding the knife among other weapons in Digwa’s bedroom were intended to help him evade detection. This deception compounded the tragedy of Mr. Nowak’s death and hindered the investigation process. In response to Kaur’s sentencing, Mr. Nowak’s family reiterated their commitment to seeking justice for Henry and called for transparency in the ongoing investigations. They vowed to continue pushing for accountability and reforms to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
Digwa, who received a life sentence with a minimum term of 21 years for the murder, falsely claimed that Mr. Nowak had racially abused him, leading to the tragic incident. The case underlines the devastating consequences of violence and the importance of holding individuals accountable for their actions.
