Disruptive Passenger’s Death on Flight Sparks Investigation

A Jet2 passenger recounted a harrowing incident on a flight to Manchester Airport where a man passed away after being subdued, with her mother fearing he posed a danger to others. The passenger, identified as Callum Kerr, allegedly created chaos by hitting overhead lockers, banging on the cockpit door, and making threats to fellow passengers during the journey from Larnaca, Cyprus.

The witness, who chose to remain anonymous, stated that Callum, a 35-year-old from Warrington, exhibited signs of intoxication, including loud and aggressive behavior. Greater Manchester Police responded to reports of an assault on the flight.

Upon landing at Manchester Airport, officers intervened as passengers had restrained Callum. Subsequently, medical assistance was provided when he became critically ill. Tragically, Callum did not survive.

The passenger narrated the distressing ordeal, detailing how Callum’s behavior escalated, causing fear and panic among those on board. The situation intensified as Callum became increasingly belligerent, prompting the crew to take measures to control the situation.

Tributes poured in on social media following Callum’s passing, with individuals expressing shock and sadness over the tragic incident. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the disruptive episode on the flight to Manchester Airport. Jet2 confirmed the incident and stated that a passenger had been hospitalized, refraining from further comments pending the investigation.
