“Doctor Attacked with Knife at London Hospital”

An emergency department physician was attacked with a knife at Hillingdon Hospital in West London, leading to the arrest of a man on suspicion of attempted murder. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, May 26, prompting a police investigation.

Authorities were already present at the hospital for an unrelated matter when they were made aware of the attack. They apprehended a 27-year-old man believed to be responsible for the assault, which resulted in the doctor, in his 50s, sustaining injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening and non-life-altering.

The motive behind the attack is suspected to be linked to mental health issues. Following the incident, a portion of Hillingdon Hospital was temporarily closed as emergency services responded to the scene.
