Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, has taken the decision to close down six of her businesses within a span of three days amidst the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein controversy.
The businesses registered under her name, including Planet Partners Productions Ltd and Fergie’s Farm Ltd, have initiated winding-up processes following the release of the Epstein Files. Financial records from Companies House indicate that Fergie’s Farm Ltd had only £1 in its accounts at the time of closure.
Additionally, Solamoon Ltd, La Luna Investments Ltd, and Philanthrepreneur Ltd were among the other companies that were shut down. Sarah Ferguson’s PR company, S. Phoenix Events Ltd, was also closed last Friday.
Despite the closures, Sarah’s jewellery brand, Ginger and Moss Ltd, remains operational but is facing financial challenges, with a reported debt of £321,419 as of January. Royal commentator Margarent Holder described the situation as a dismantling of Sarah Ferguson’s personal ventures.
The businesses were established prior to the public knowledge of Sarah Ferguson’s association with Jeffrey Epstein. However, revelations from the Epstein Files disclosed ongoing friendly interactions between the two even after Epstein’s conviction for child sex crimes in 2008.
The released documents from the US Department of Justice revealed correspondences between Sarah Ferguson and Jeffrey Epstein, where Sarah requested financial assistance and even offered to work for him. This included emails expressing her eagerness to be of service to Epstein, despite his criminal activities.
Reports also suggested that Sarah Ferguson visited Epstein’s residence during his house arrest, accompanied by his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, who were in their early twenties at the time.
In a message dated January 2010, Sarah expressed admiration for Epstein, referring to him as a “legend” and offering her services, even humorously suggesting marriage.
