Earl Spencer, the brother of Princess Diana and uncle to Princes William and Harry, recently got married for the fourth time in a private ceremony held in the United States. His new wife, archaeologist Professor Cat Jarman, now known as Countess Spencer, tied the knot with him in a discreet event in Arizona.
The couple’s relationship blossomed after Earl Spencer was invited to review Professor Jarman’s best-selling book, “River Kings,” in 2021. Following a joint project at Earl Spencer’s estate in Althorp, where they discovered a lost medieval village, they began dating two years ago.
Expressing their joy, the newlyweds stated, “We are incredibly fortunate to have transitioned from colleagues to friends and now to a deep loving connection. Laughter has been at the core of every stage of our relationship, and we share a profound zest for life.”
The pair shared photos from their wedding day, showcasing them against the picturesque backdrop of Sedona’s Cathedral Rock. Professor Jarman, now 44, looked stunning in a pale blue sleeveless gown with a cut-out waist.
Earl Spencer, who has seven children from his previous marriages, was previously married to Victoria Lockwood, with whom he shares four children, and later to Caroline Hutton, with whom he had two children. His third marriage to Karen produced a daughter named Charlotte Diana before their separation in 2024. Professor Jarman, who also has two sons from a previous marriage, recently settled a legal claim against Karen Spencer over the misuse of her private medical information, which brought relief to her as she looks forward to moving on with her life.
