Following the incident, John was discovered injured and covered in blood on the veranda of his cottage within the secure dementia unit. His daughter, Margaret, expressed shock at his condition, emphasizing that she had never seen him so badly injured before. While the family demands answers, HammondCare has initiated an investigation into the assault.
