Renowned royal expert Andrew Lownie remarked that Andrew still perceives himself as entitled and feels it is unjust that public opinion has shifted against him. Lownie highlighted Andrew’s upbringing in a privileged environment, where his status and royal identity were paramount, leading to a belief that he could operate discreetly without facing consequences.
In a related development, Andrew has reportedly requested to terminate his lease on East Lodge, a £13,000-per-year Grade II-listed cottage near Sunninghill Park in Berkshire. This move follows his departure from the Royal Lodge in late 2025. Andrew was released after 11 hours of questioning at Aylsham Police Station in Norfolk, where he was seen leaving in his Range Rover following his interrogation.
