“Jet2 Unveils New Flights to Tunisia for Summer 2027”

Date:

Jet2 has revealed its plans to introduce flights and vacation packages to Tunisia for the summer of 2027. The airline is now accepting bookings from holiday enthusiasts looking to travel between May 1 and October 31 next year.

The travel company will provide new flight services from various UK airports including Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, and Manchester. Travelers booking a holiday package will have the option to select accommodations ranging from 3 to 5-star hotels located in different resorts such as Port el Kantaoui, Skanes, Mahdia, Sousse, Yasmine Hammamet, and Hammamet.

All flights will land at Enfidha–Hammamet International Airport in the northern region of Tunisia, conveniently close to the capital, Tunis, and some of the country’s most popular tourist destinations.

Jet2’s updated flight schedule will feature twice-weekly flights from Birmingham and London-Stansted on Wednesdays and Saturdays, along with two flights per week from Manchester on Tuesdays and Fridays. East Midlands and Leeds Bradford airports will operate weekly flights as well.

Upon arrival, visitors can explore a variety of attractions, from the historic Medina of Hammamet to the picturesque coastal area of Sousse. Travelers can also take day trips to significant sites like the Roman Amphitheatre of El Jem, known for its intriguing history of gladiator battles and wild animal exhibitions.

Venturing further south, tourists can discover stunning desert landscapes and glistening salt flats. They can visit the filming locations of the original Star Wars trilogy and explore traditional Berber cave dwellings carved into the mountains.

A visit to Tunis offers a chance to wander through the vibrant medina, filled with bustling market stalls, mosques, and ancient houses dating back to 698. Additionally, tourists can explore the Bardo National Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of Roman mosaics and artifacts from the ancient city of Carthage.

This announcement expands Jet2’s summer 2027 destinations to a total of 70, with the addition of new services to Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt, as well as Kavala in northern Greece. Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, expressed enthusiasm for Tunisia’s diverse offerings, highlighting the country’s sunny weather, rich culture, and broad appeal.

Fakhri Khalsi, acting UK Director at the Tunisian National Tourist Office, welcomed Jet2’s decision to launch holiday packages to Tunisia in summer 2027, emphasizing the positive impact on Tunisia’s tourism sector and the growing confidence of major travel operators in the country’s attractions.
