Elderly Man Mistakenly Kidnapped in Sydney

Police are investigating a case where an 85-year-old man was believed to have been mistakenly kidnapped from his residence. The incident occurred around 5 am on Friday, February 13, in North Ryde, Sydney’s northwest. Authorities suspect that the man was not the intended target of the abduction, indicating a possible error on the part of the kidnappers.

The man’s family has been informed and is receiving support during this time. The police have released an image of the man without disclosing his name and are appealing for his safe return. Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Robbery & Serious Crime Squad are actively involved in the investigation.
