The individual responsible for a tragic shooting that claimed the lives of eight children has been identified locally as Shamar Elkins, aged 31. The incident, which resulted in the deaths of children aged between one and 12, marks the deadliest mass shooting in the United States in over two years.
Authorities have indicated that Elkins is believed to be the father of some of the victims. Out of the ten individuals who were shot, two women survived the harrowing attack. One of the women sustained life-threatening injuries, including a gunshot wound to the head.

She recounted seeing a covered child’s body on a nearby roof and expressed shock, mentioning that she had recently seen the suspect interacting with the children.
