Former England captain Terry Butcher has expressed his support for fellow football legends Kevin Keegan and Kenny Dalglish, who recently disclosed their battles with cancer. Butcher, 67, reminisced about facing off against Keegan and Dalglish in the 1980s and 1990s, emphasizing their iconic status in the sport.

Acknowledging the indiscriminate nature of cancer, Butcher praised the resilience and competitive spirit of Keegan and Dalglish, highlighting their determination as fighters and winners. He honored the two men during the premiere of a documentary about his life in London.

At the documentary screening of ‘Butcher: Invisible Wounds,’ Terry Butcher opened up about his personal struggles, including the tragic loss of his son Chris in 2017. Chris, a former Royal Artillery member, battled with post-traumatic stress disorder following his military service in Afghanistan.

The documentary shed light on Chris’s untimely passing, attributed to health complications exacerbated by PTSD. Terry expressed gratitude to ITV and combat2coffee charity for their support in raising awareness about mental health issues among veterans. Nigel Seaman, combat2coffee’s founder, commended Terry’s efforts, emphasizing the impact of his work in saving lives.
