A family in Galway had to leave their home because of disturbances caused by a poltergeist, leading to the necessity of an exorcism. The Fahey family, consisting of parents Jackie and Ester, daughter Martha, son Michael, his fiancée Mary, and Martha’s infant Sarah-Louise, lived in Corab during the 1990s. The paranormal activities, triggered by the birth of Sarah-Louise, included strange smells, objects being tampered with, mysterious noises, and sudden drops in temperature. Most unsettling was that these occurrences mainly originated in Sarah-Louise’s room, according to reports from Galway Beo.
One evening, the family heard the baby crying in distress from her room. Upon checking, they found her sitting upright, surrounded by her stuffed toys arranged in a perfect circle. The situation became so intense that the family eventually left the house, with only Michael and a friend staying behind. The case garnered national media attention, leading the family to seek help from para-psychologist Sandra Ramdhanie.
Accompanied by the family, Sandra investigated Sarah-Louise’s room, suspected to be the epicenter of the haunting. She discovered that a baby had been suffocated in the house a hundred years ago. The spirit was envious of the attention Sarah-Louise received, which explained its presence, particularly in her room. An exorcism was conducted, with Sandra using candles and incense, instructing the family to focus their love towards the ghostly infant.
The poltergeist peacefully left the house, restoring peace. In an interview with RTÉ, Michael expressed his belief in ghosts, poltergeists, and the psychic realm.
