A Hollyoaks actor, Oscar Curtis, was taken to the hospital after being bitten by a monkey while on vacation in India. The 20-year-old, known for his role as Lucas Hay on the Channel 4 soap opera, had to receive urgent medical treatment, including “rabies jabs,” following the incident. Sharing the ordeal on social media, he humorously described the monkey as a “little troublemaker.”

Accompanied by a photo of the mischievous monkey, Oscar posted, “Moments before the little troublemaker bit me and I had to go to the hospital for rabies jabs, FFS.” He reassured his followers that he was fine, adding, “I’m all good tho and don’t have rabies,” with a crying with laughter emoji.

During his adventure in India, Oscar has been keeping his fans updated. Speculation has been circulating about his potential departure from Hollyoaks.

Initially joining the Channel 4 series in 2023 as the recast for the role of Lucas Hay, Oscar hinted at a possible exit. In an Instagram story, he shared a picture of his belongings packed up, hinting at a change in direction.

Recently, Oscar discussed Lucas’ storyline on Hollyoaks, where the character faced challenges after being involved in intense situations, including being jailed for taking his father hostage.
