A woman initially attributed chest rashes to the stress of moving into her first home, only to later discover it was cancer. Faith Hinitt, 27, noticed an itchy, red rash on her chest shortly after becoming a homeowner in June 2023. She associated the rash with the stress of moving and starting a new job. Alongside the rash, Faith experienced extreme fatigue, night sweats, and hip pain, which she attributed to the upheavals in her life.
Despite her symptoms, Faith disregarded them until a dentist suggested a blood test in October 2023 due to her unresponsiveness to gum infection treatment. Following a visit to A&E on October 7th, Faith received the shocking diagnosis of acute myeloid leukaemia, a fast-progressing blood cancer. Subsequently, she underwent chemotherapy and is awaiting her second stem cell transplant for a chance at remission.
