Indian Politician Ajit Pawar Killed in Tragic Plane Crash

A tragic plane crash this morning in India has claimed the lives of five individuals, including prominent Indian politician Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. The incident occurred near Baramati, India, involving a Learjet 45 jet operated by private company VSR. The aircraft, carrying Pawar and four others, crashed while attempting a landing near Baramati airport, resulting in a fatal outcome.

Witnesses reported that the plane lost control just before landing, crashing nearly 100 feet short of the runway and bursting into flames upon impact. Despite emergency response efforts, all five occupants perished in the crash. Pawar, aged 66, was en route to attend public meetings related to upcoming local body elections.

The crash scene displayed a scene of devastation with mangled wreckage and emergency vehicles transporting victims to nearby medical facilities. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over Pawar’s demise, highlighting Pawar’s dedication to public service and his commitment to the well-being of Maharashtra’s residents.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also mourned the loss, emphasizing Pawar’s longstanding service to society and his significant contributions to Maharashtra’s development. Pawar had held various leadership roles in the state and had been involved in political activities for decades. The tragic incident has not only impacted the political landscape but has also drawn condolences from various political figures and leaders in India.
