“Johnson Urges Epstein Island Visitors to Testify”

Date:

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has urged all influential figures who visited Jeffrey Epstein’s island to provide testimony regarding the deceased sex offender. During an appearance on Swedish television, Johnson was questioned about his avoidance of Epstein, to which he humorously responded, “Search me, Guv.” He emphasized the need for individuals to come forward and disclose what they knew about the situation.

Meanwhile, the US Congress has extended invitations to Peter Mandelson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to testify in the Epstein investigation conducted by the House Oversight Committee. Although Congress lacks the legal authority to compel their appearance, Johnson expressed his belief that it is essential for these prominent figures to clarify their involvement.

Johnson highlighted the discrepancy in accountability, pointing out that while Epstein died in prison, only one person, a woman, is incarcerated. He stressed the importance of powerful men, including Prince Andrew and Bill Gates, providing testimony on their knowledge of the events. Johnson also referenced the Clintons in this context.

In a radio interview in 2019, Johnson controversially dismissed the allocation of resources to investigate historical child sexual abuse. Despite not having any direct communication with Epstein, records indicate that his name was mentioned in conversations between Epstein and former Trump aide Steve Bannon regarding Brexit and Johnson’s succession of Theresa May as Prime Minister.

House Democrats Suhas Subramanyam and Robert Garcia have written to Peter Mandelson, indicating their belief that he possesses crucial information about Epstein’s associates. They have requested Mandelson’s participation in a formal interview to shed light on Epstein’s criminal activities.

Following his removal as Ambassador to the US, Lord Mandelson admitted his mistake in associating with Epstein and expressed regret for not believing the victims sooner. The UK Government recently voted to disclose all information related to Mandelson’s appointment in 2024, subject to scrutiny by the Intelligence and Security Committee.

Mandelson is currently under investigation for allegedly sharing sensitive information with Epstein during his tenure as business secretary in Gordon Brown’s government during the 2008 financial crisis. The Cabinet Office has forwarded relevant material to the Metropolitan Police following a review of documents from the US Department of Justice related to Epstein.
