The militarized state displayed its formidable military strength in Kim Il-Sung Square, where numerous soldiers paraded before the country’s supreme leader to mark the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
During a daunting speech, Kim asserted that North Korea, armed with nuclear weapons, could annihilate South Korea if provoked, as reported by state media. In an unusual move, he expressed reluctance in engaging with South Korean counterparts but hinted at a willingness to dialogue with the United States.
