A medical professional, Professor Angus Dalgleish, who suggested a possible link between Covid vaccines and cancer in members of the Royal Family, has announced his candidacy with the Reform party for the upcoming local elections. His statement was made during a Reform UK conference where cardiologist Dr Aseem Malhotra was speaking. Although the Reform party distanced itself from Dr Malhotra’s remarks in September, Prof Dalgleish has confirmed his belief in the vaccine-cancer connection and is now running as a Reform UK candidate in the Sutton ward of North Cheam.
Previously associated with UKIP, Prof Dalgleish, a former oncology chair at St George’s Hospital, has been vocal about healthcare challenges, including concerns about NHS strain due to immigration. Despite his claims, Cancer Research has debunked any Covid vaccine-cancer link, emphasizing the vaccine’s safety and efficacy.
Medical experts, like Professor Brian Ferguson from the University of Cambridge, have refuted the notion that mRNA vaccines cause cancer, labeling such claims as pseudoscience. They have emphasized the lack of evidence supporting any cancer-causing effects of these vaccines and dismissed attempts to link them to cancer cases within the Royal Family.
In separate instances, the Princess of Wales and King Charles faced battles with cancer. The Princess underwent chemotherapy after surgery for an undisclosed cancer, while King Charles received early treatment for his diagnosis in 2024, resulting in reduced treatment this year following positive progress.
