French authorities have unveiled new disturbing images from Jeffrey Epstein’s residence in Paris, featuring pictures of the deceased financier surrounded by partially clothed women. These photos, discovered during a search of Epstein’s Paris property in 2019, have recently emerged in French media. Epstein, a convicted sex offender who passed away in US custody that same year, is alleged to have committed multiple sexual offenses at the Paris location.
Investigators in France are utilizing the extensive data released by the US Department of Justice in recent weeks to reconstruct a comprehensive understanding of the criminal activities that transpired there. Previously unseen photos of the apartment, showcased by Le Parisien, reveal a decor adorned with images of young women, along with an assortment of stuffed animals including a baby elephant and a vulture. The discovery also includes a drawer filled with massage devices.
In 2019, French police raided the 18-room flat located in Paris’s upscale Avenue Foch district as part of a probe into Epstein’s associate, Jean-Luc Brunel, a former modeling agent who later died by suicide in custody after facing sex trafficking charges. At least three women have come forward alleging abuse by Epstein or his associates in France.
Paris Chief Prosecutor Laure Beccuau expressed hope that the accumulated data would provide a comprehensive insight into Epstein’s activities in France. Beccuau announced two new investigations on February 18, focusing on human trafficking and financial crimes such as money laundering and tax fraud.
Moreover, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot referred senior diplomat Fabrice Aidan to prosecutors after Aidan’s name appeared extensively in the Epstein files. A preliminary investigation has been initiated into former Culture Minister Jack Lang and his daughter Caroline for suspected involvement in tax fraud and money laundering linked to financial connections with Epstein through an offshore company. Both individuals deny the allegations.
In the UK, officials have agreed to release documents related to the appointment of former Prince Andrew to a trade envoy role following critical remarks by Trade Minister Chris Bryant. Prince Andrew faces accusations of sharing sensitive information with Epstein during his tenure as a special representative for trade and investment from 2001 to 2011. He was recently taken into custody on suspicion of misconduct in public office before being released pending further investigation.
