Nigel Farage’s wealthy supporter enjoys a luxurious island getaway that includes a wellness retreat he possesses. Christopher Harborne, a prominent figure on the Sunday Times Rich List, is known as “Farage’s really useful cash machine.” He is the owner of Kamalaya, a serene sanctuary located on Koh Samui in Thailand.
Described as a place for transformation and holistic healing, Kamalaya boasts unique features like a monk’s cave. Harborne, aged 63, oversees the resort as a philanthropic venture, offering exclusive accommodations such as the penthouse pool suite at £941 per night, complete with a private plunge pool and lavish villas.
Harborne, ranked sixth on this year’s Rich List with an estimated fortune of £18 billion, acquired the sanctuary in 2021. Renowned personalities like Sarah Ferguson have visited Kamalaya, praising its serene atmosphere. The retreat offers various personalized services, including a personal fire ceremony and spiritual guidance sessions, aimed at enhancing emotional well-being and personal growth.
Parliamentary authorities are investigating Farage for allegedly failing to disclose a £5 million gift from Harborne. Farage maintains that the money was a personal gift to cover his security expenses and as a token of appreciation for his involvement in Brexit campaigning. Harborne and Kamalaya have been approached for their comments on the matter.
