“Putin Warns of Retaliation Against Europe Amid US-Iran Conflict”

Date:

Following the US strikes that resulted in the death of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Russian President Vladimir Putin extended his condolences before alluding to potential retaliatory actions against Europe. The incident, known as Operation Epic Fury, saw American troops collaborating with Israel in the strikes on Iran, prompting a swift response from Iran targeting US air bases in Dubai, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

Russian propagandists have issued threats of reprisal on Europe in response to the US-Israeli operation, attributing the situation to President Donald Trump’s actions that they claim created political and psychological opportunities, as reported by The Express.

Putin denounced Khamenei’s death as a “murder in cynical violation of human morality and international law.” The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the US-Israeli operation in Iran as a premeditated and unwarranted act of aggression against a sovereign UN member state, breaching fundamental principles of international law.

Accusing Washington and Tel Aviv of pursuing an agenda to undermine Iran’s leadership, Moscow warned of potential catastrophic consequences in the region, cautioning against the pretext of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Sergey Karnaukhov and Dimitri Simes, former executives of The Centre for the National Interest, discussed Russia’s response strategy amid the escalating conflict, assigning blame to Europe for their perceived hostility towards Moscow.

During a conversation on Solovyov Live, Solovyov highlighted Estonia’s antagonistic actions towards Russia and suggested that Trump inadvertently provided opportunities for Russia to act decisively for national security. The discussion escalated with threats towards Europe, emphasizing the belief that force is the only language understood by Europe, signaling a potential shift towards more aggressive tactics.
