“Red Arrows Thrill in Greece: Training for Spectacular Season”

Date:

The Royal Air Force’s precision flying team was recently captured performing in Greece during their intensive Exercise Springhawk training. This elite squadron has temporarily relocated from their usual base at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire to take advantage of the favorable Mediterranean weather. The purpose of this move is to put the final touches on an exhilarating show that is expected to captivate a wide audience.

According to a team spokesperson, the overseas pre-season preparations, known as Exercise Springhawk, offer both pilots and ground crew valuable opportunities for focused training and perfecting the new show, which undergoes annual updates.

The Red Arrows can be seen in awe-inspiring footage practicing for their upcoming display season, all part of the Exercise Springhawk training program. The team is honing their skills and refining their performance to adapt to the changing show requirements each year.

With a busy schedule ahead for 2026, the pilots will commence their activities this month to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Crete in Greece. Subsequently, they will return to entertain audiences at the English Riviera Airshow and the Midlands Air Festival. Readers are invited to share their experiences of witnessing the Red Arrows in the comments section below.
