“Sarah Ferguson’s Charity Dissolved Over Epstein Links”

Date:

Sarah Ferguson’s charity, Sarah’s Trust, has been dissolved following her association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The charity, which connected philanthropists with causes in need, was officially closed recently. Originally registered with the Charity Commission in 2018, the trust is now listed as “removed,” indicating it is no longer active. Additionally, its status as a “charitable incorporated organisation” at Companies House has been updated to “converted/closed.”

Emails disclosed from the Epstein Files uncovered exchanges between Ferguson and Epstein, shedding light on their relationship. Despite the revelations, Ferguson has vehemently denied any wrongdoing. The decision to close the charity was made in February amidst the release of new information from the Epstein Files.

In one email, Ferguson praised Epstein, referring to him as the “brother I have always wished for.” Another email from 2010 expressed gratitude for Epstein’s generosity and even humorously suggested marriage. Public records revealed that Ferguson had invited Epstein to her 50th birthday celebration at St James’s Palace in 2010, following his release from prison the previous year.

Several other charities, including the Teenage Cancer Trust and Julia’s House, severed ties with Ferguson in light of the controversy. Additionally, Ferguson’s ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, had his royal privileges revoked due to his association with Epstein. Ferguson also lost her courtesy royal title and reverted to her maiden name.

The Mirror has reached out to Sarah Ferguson’s representatives for a response.
