“Tesco Whoosh Elevates Football Viewing Experience”

Date:

The upcoming premier football event is just on the horizon, and this year promises to be larger than ever. Boasting 48 participating teams, a significant increase from the previous 32, a total of 104 matches will be held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Commencing on Thursday, June 11, and extending through to the grand finale on Sunday, July 19, the tournament spans five weeks of intense football action. In collaboration with Tesco, we are thrilled to introduce an exclusive wall chart from the Tesco Whoosh team, aiding you in tracking all the tournament excitement as it unfolds.

Additionally, a tabletop football pitch has been crafted, featuring origami goals for you to relive the standout moments of the matches from the comfort of your home. Follow the instructions provided in the video or the simple steps below to assemble your pop-up goals.

To elevate your match-watching experience, Tesco’s Whoosh service offers convenient door-to-door grocery delivery in as little as 20 minutes*. This service ensures your watch party is well-prepared with matchday essentials, impromptu snacks, and halftime indulgences.

By accessing the Tesco Whoosh app or website to reserve a delivery slot, you can select from a variety of daily essentials and quick meals, all while accruing Clubcard points. Your order is meticulously prepared at your nearby Tesco store and promptly delivered to your doorstep, with real-time tracking available through the Tesco app or website.

While the game’s outcome remains uncertain, you can guarantee a flawless off-pitch experience with everything tailored to perfection for your game-day celebrations.

Follow the steps below to create your origami goals and set up your pitch for an engaging tabletop football experience:

1. Cut out both goal squares to form the left and right goals.
2. Fold each square upward to reveal the goal artwork.
3. Create a center crease by folding the square in half and then unfolding it.
4. Shape the bottom and top corners by folding them towards the middle crease.
5. Form the front of the goal by folding down the top layer.
6. Flip the shape over and fold the top corners down again.
7. Fold the top half down to shape the origami goal.
8. Rotate the shape 180 degrees to finalize the structure.
9. Gently push the sides inwards between the layers to pop the goal into shape.
10. Crease the edges to ensure stability, and your goal is ready for action.

Harry Brent, a senior sports writer at the Daily Mirror and host of the Make Football Great Again podcast, shared his enthusiasm for the pop-up pitch, dubbing it ideal for settling disputes, recreating iconic goals, or enjoying a quick tabletop match during the tournament. Furthermore, the wallchart serves as a comprehensive guide to all the matches taking place in the US, Mexico, and Canada.

Don’t miss out on this exceptional collaboration between the Daily Mirror and Tesco Whoosh. It’s time for the home nations to rise to the occasion and deliver their best on the football field.

*Delivery fees apply. Delivery times range from 20 to 60 minutes and are available in selected areas. Specific Whoosh pricing details can be found at Tesco.com/whoosh.
