In a daring act captured on surveillance video, thieves used a tractor to forcefully remove a cash machine from a wall. The incident took place outside a Co-op store in a Scottish border town during the early hours of Monday.
The CCTV footage revealed individuals operating the tractor under the cover of night, successfully detaching the ATM and placing it on top of a Nissan Navara. Subsequently, one of the thieves swiftly transferred to the car’s passenger seat, and the vehicle sped away with the stolen cash machine attached to its roof, triggering alarms from the store.
The aftermath of the heist left the store’s front extensively damaged, with debris scattered around the premises. Law enforcement officials cordoned off the area, recovering the cash machine and the two involved vehicles for forensic examination.
