Tragic Death on Royal Caribbean Snorkeling Excursion

Date:

A passenger aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship tragically passed away while participating in a snorkeling activity in the Caribbean last week. The individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, was on the Star of the Seas vessel, the only cruise ship docked at the port that day. Reports indicate that the guest disembarked with family members to partake in a snorkeling excursion in the crystal-clear waters of St. Maarten.

During the snorkeling outing, the passenger experienced a sudden medical emergency and was swiftly returned to Port St. Maarten for urgent medical treatment. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save them, the individual was pronounced dead upon reaching shore. Following the incident, the family opted to have the deceased’s body kept in the ship’s morgue instead of repatriating it from the island.

Details regarding the specific nature of the medical emergency are currently unknown, as well as whether the snorkeling tour was booked through the cruise line or an external operator. Efforts to obtain a response from Royal Caribbean regarding the incident are underway.
