“UK Braces for Rainfall in 12 Regions After Hot Spell”

Date:

The UK is bracing for rainfall in 12 regions as the hot weather gives way to showers. The Met Office predicts that Scotland, Northern Ireland, North East England, Yorkshire and the Humber, the East Midlands, and East Anglia will experience the most rain. Meteorologist Honor Criswick mentioned that northerly winds will bring rain to the far north of Scotland and possible showers along the east coast of England. However, southern parts of Wales and England are expected to have the best weather with temperatures reaching 25-26°C.

Cloudy skies and showers are also forecasted for eastern Scotland, parts of north-east England, and Northern Ireland. The rest of the country is likely to have dry conditions with sunny intervals and warm temperatures due to high pressure blocking any significant rainfall.

Looking ahead to July 23 to August 1, the Met Office anticipates mostly dry weather with sunny spells across the UK, although northern areas might see occasional cloudiness and light rain. By the weekend of July 26 and 27, and into the following week, rain is expected in northern regions, possibly extending to the south in a lighter, sporadic manner.

Forecasters suggest a potential return of high pressure by the end of July, bringing dry conditions, especially in the south. Temperatures are expected to remain around or above average, with the south possibly experiencing very warm weather at the beginning of August.
