A prominent UK broadband provider has been rescued from financial collapse and has reemerged with a new owner without any debt.
G.Network faced financial turmoil earlier this year leading to the company being in administration, with concerns arising about rodent-induced damage to its fiber cables. Community Fibre, a competitor in the broadband industry, considered acquiring G.Network’s assets but decided against it due to the high costs of repairing the damaged cables.
However, it has now been revealed that G.Network has successfully undergone financial restructuring through administration and is now owned by FitzWalter Capital. The company based in London disclosed that it has emerged from administration with no debts and has received fresh capital support. Co-founder David Sangster has been reinstated as the CEO, taking over from the previous executive Kevin Murphy.
FitzWalter Capital’s Partner, Andrew Gray, expressed optimism about G.Network’s future, emphasizing the company’s debt-free status and strong operational performance. The partnership aims to propel the network’s commercial growth and position G.Network as a key player in the UK’s fiber market.
Sangster highlighted the company’s resilient network and dedicated team, expressing confidence in G.Network’s ability to expand and provide exceptional service to its partners and customers in London. Presently, G.Network’s infrastructure covers over 420,000 premises in central London, serving approximately 25,000 customers in a highly competitive fiber market.
