US military personnel have allegedly been informed by their superiors that Donald Trump was designated by Jesus to initiate an attack on Iran and trigger a catastrophic event known as Armageddon.
Over the weekend, Trump declared a coordinated military strike with Israel against Iran, resulting in the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. This action followed tense nuclear discussions with Iran and a period of civil unrest within the country.
Following the initial assault, Trump stated that extensive bombing would persist continuously until the objective of establishing peace in the Middle East and globally was achieved.
This operation occurred less than a year after Trump authorized attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities in June 2025, claiming to have dismantled Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Trump disclosed to The New York Times that he instructed US forces to engage in further attacks on Iran for a duration of “four to five weeks,” without elaborating on the specifics of the strategy.
A recent report revealed that numerous US troops from various units and bases filed complaints with the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) post the attack. These complaints centered around combat unit leaders justifying the war using Christian beliefs, as detailed by independent journalist Jonathan Larsen on Substack.
During a briefing, non-commissioned officers informed the MRFF that a combat-unit leader had urged troops to view the conflict as part of a divine plan, citing passages from the Book of Revelation concerning Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ.
The same commander purportedly asserted that Trump had been chosen by Jesus to initiate conflict in Iran, leading to Armageddon and signaling his return to Earth, portraying the war in Iran as part of a divine scheme.
These statements were part of over 110 complaints lodged against commanders from various military branches and over 40 units across 30 military installations, according to the MRFF as reported by Larsen.
One complainant, a Christian NCO potentially facing deployment to Iran, representing 15 troops, including 11 Christians, one Muslim, and one Jew, noted in an email that the commander’s remarks could undermine morale, unit cohesion, and violate their oath to support the Constitution.
Mikey Weinstein, the President of MRFF and an Air Force veteran, stated that his office had been flooded with similar complaints, emphasizing the euphoria expressed by commanders about the war being biblically sanctioned and aligning with the anticipated ‘End Times’ as described in the Book of Revelation.
Weinstein further remarked on the commanders’ enthusiasm for the graphic nature of the conflict, emphasizing the bloodshed necessary to fulfill the vision of fundamentalist Christian eschatology concerning the end of the world.
