“Warning: Kinderkraft Car Seat Fails Safety Tests”

Date:

A child’s car seat, the Kinderkraft Mink Pro 2 and Mink FX 2 Isofix Base, failed safety tests and received a “don’t buy” warning from consumer group Which?. This product, priced at £79 including the seat base, scored 0% in tests due to a serious flaw where the seat shell detached from the Isofix base during a crash simulation. Which? emphasized the safety risk this posed and advised consumers to contact the retailer or manufacturer for potential replacement or refund options.

While not officially recalled, the Kinderkraft seat was included in Which?’s list of products not recommended for purchase in 2026. The group highlighted various products, such as the Red Kite Push Me Explor Stroller and Braun ExactFit 5 Connect Blood Pressure Monitor, which also raised safety concerns or failed performance tests.

Which? emphasized the importance of independent product testing to ensure quality and safety for consumers. They recommended alternatives like the Joie MyDrift stroller and Boots Multi-User Blood Pressure Monitor as safer and more reliable options. The group’s message underscored the need for consumers to make informed choices to avoid subpar products that may compromise safety or performance.
