One of President Donald Trump’s key allies is under scrutiny for allegedly violating a major security protocol while the President oversaw military actions against Iran.
Trump’s trusted White House Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, was photographed alongside the President in a makeshift Situation Room at Mar-a-Lago during the intense mission conducted with Israel. Observers noted a potential security breach as Wiles was seen wearing a fitness tracker device during the operation.
Although some initially identified the device as an Apple Watch, it was later clarified that Wiles was actually wearing a WHOOP fitness tracker, which raised concerns due to its Bluetooth capabilities.
Speculations emerged online suggesting the tracker could be susceptible to hacking and external control during critical military operations. CNN News’ Brian Stelter acknowledged the device in a photo of Wiles, emphasizing the potential security risks.
Despite the online uproar, the CEO of WHOOP defended the device’s security features, confirming it lacked a microphone, GPS, or cellular capabilities. The company asserted that the device was approved by the National Security Agency (NSA) for use by White House and government personnel.
The White House also supported Wiles, affirming that WHOOP products had NSA approval and were designed with security in mind. Trump converted his Florida residence into a war room for the military operations conducted in collaboration with Israel against Iran.
The President authorized early morning strikes on Tehran and other Iranian cities, causing global astonishment. Images circulated online depicted Trump with key advisors and officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Susie Wiles, inside his residence.
Later that day, as news of strikes in the Middle East unfolded and developments involving Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei emerged, reports indicated that the President planned to host a high-priced fundraising dinner for his political action committee, MAGA Inc.
