Police provided a sad update following an incident where a woman was hit by a heavy goods vehicle yesterday. Emergency services responded to the scene on Walton Lane in Liverpool at approximately 10:30 am after receiving reports of a pedestrian being struck by a lorry.
Despite efforts from first responders, the woman was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. A 62-year-old man from Accrington, Lancashire, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was awaiting questioning by detectives in police custody.
